just a few vignettes of life lately….

i made these old bottles (from sparkling cider, fyi: im unable to drink alcohol without falling asleep, currently) into vases to hold my flowers. the dark martinelli’s green was lovely for the winter, but as we’re entering into spring, i touched them up with some starry and floral designs.

one day i will complete that rivendell lego set.

im no painter, as the above bottles demonstrate, but this is rather a reminder. it is funny, though, how my little skill translates into a simple piece for one of the hardest topics: sometimes the most difficult part of being human is just that. to allow yourself to be human and use, or flex, your heart in order to love.

speaking of spring: this is a rare win in my efforts to be a gardening girly.

i planted this limp basil leaf a few weeks ago and watered it every day, and this week it has begun not only growing rapidly, but blooming as well. maybe ill try next with some mint.
